Sonja began photography in 2016 and took the opportunity to start working with the Detroit Pistons the same year. She started working with the Detroit Red Wings during the 2021-2022 season, and the Detroit Tigers.

Sonja has worked with professional sports teams in Detroit such as the NBA, NHL, and MLB. She also works for non-profit companies such as Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit and Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan.

In college she studied graphic design and is now incorporating graphics and composites into her work. She also gained video experience filming LGBTQ+ content for a student project.
